Preparation for a Wyrd Sisters concert is a long and involved process.
Laura, Claire, Dylan and Loretta with our countdown chain.
Then there were the long hours of training:
First, we built a paper chain to count down the days to the concert:
For more pictures of the countdown chain, please see our countdown page.

The day of the concert we had a special gathering to make ourselves beautiful:

Laura, Elisabeth, Lili, Claire and Amanda: getting ready for the Wyrd Sisters.
We also watched the Wyrd Sisters on television, to get into the proper mood:
Lianne, Kim and Nancy sing "Warrior" on the New PL.
And Claire and Elisabeth invented a new "getting ready for the Wyrd Sisters" activity known as "Tossing the Lion".

(I'm not entirely clear on the particulars of this activity. Perhaps I am just too old!)
Finally, the night we had all been waiting for arrived:
(With apologies to the ushers who we frightened when we informed them that we did not intend to sit down for the concert!)
We love to dance in the rain!
But Centennial Hall will do in a pinch.

Even the monkey, not wanting to be left out, donned some Wyrd gear:
With much love and thanks to Nancy, Kim & Lianne, their band, and Orchestra London, for a wonderful evening!
Next step: to convince Orchestra London to invite the Wyrds back every year!
