The Triceratops nodded and led Lili down onto the beach with these words:
"Welcome Lili to our home I see you bear the gift of Gnome And that blade you wave about with flare Hails from the Sylphs' bright realm of air
The wand you trail as you meander
So welcome child of earth, air, fire and water |
With that pronouncement, the magnificent Rainbow Dragon gave a great roar and charged out of her cave. She leapt up into the skies over Rainbow Beach and began the intricate circles of her rain dance. Almost immediately, the clouds burst open and poured glorious rain down upon the beach, and tiny faeries of every colour imaginable rose up from the coloured sands which had camouflaged them and joined Lili and the Triceratops in their dancing. Lili showed the Triceratops and the faeries some of the dances she had been learning in dance class, and the Orange Faeries were especially impressed with Lili's sword dance.
Lili and her new-found friends danced all over the beach and even splashed about in the sticky-sweet waters of the honey lake. They danced all throughout the good long rain storm, and Lili felt sure that she would have dropped from exhaustion a long time ago if she hadn't been having so much fun.
Just as she felt certain she could not dance another step, Lili heard someone calling her name.
